Nike Trail

This personal project for Nike aims to design a series of visually captivating and engaging advertisements for Nike's trail running shoes that appeal to outdoor enthusiasts. The advertisements showcase the vibrant colors of the color wheel (red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue, purple, and pink) to create a sense of excitement and energy. The poster advertisements seamlessly incorporate brutalist-inspired aesthetics into their advertisement posters, resulting in a strikingly modern and organized feel.

In my design process, I faced two challenges: crafting effective compositions within the chosen style and ensuring uniqueness among designs with shared stylistic elements. To tackle the first challenge, I sought inspiration from platforms like Pinterest and Behance, refining my layouts. For the second challenge, I diversified the themes of the last four designs—underwater, space, and graffiti—aligning them with the shoe's characteristics. This approach maintained a cohesive overall style while giving each design a distinct identity.

Here is a quick look at my creative process. I like to sketch out my ideas first before I design anything. In these sketches, you can see some of the early ideas I had for the designs. I was brainstorming on things like the layouts, compositions, and the main typefaces.
